Biba is a free-to-play suite of mobile games for Apple and Android devices that encourages families to engage together in active, outdoor play. Biba turns the kids into the avatar and allows for active imaginative play throughout the playground setting using the equipment that is present! Special Biba gameplay markers transform ordinary play structures into “smart” playgrounds. As families play on a Biba smart playground, detailed data and insights are captured. That data is then transformed into reports and insights that can help playground owners and operators make better choices and smarter funding decisions. Download the App today and let the games begin!
It’s not just about people with disabilities…it’s about everyone enjoying and sharing in the holistic benefits of play: physical, sensory, and social. Inclusion is more than access-it’s about being a part of something. It’s about making a difference in the lives of others. Everyone deserves an opportunity to join in and play. To be involved with one another, to make new friends, to be encouraged, and to overcome a challenge. Inclusive playgrounds are built on the foundation of existing playground guidelines, but go beyond them to facilitate engagement between children. The Re-Introduction of PlayCubes…
Simple and irresistible, PlayCubes are based on the iconic creation of prominent architect/designer Richard Dattner – redesigned for even more physical, social and cognitive play value and engagement. The distinctive form invites imagination and exploration with undefined paths and varying handholds for climbing. A network of negative spaces invites kids to play in, on, and through. And the slide offers a familiar focal point for added excitement, play flow and fun. Bring a totally unique, immersive play experience to your playground with smart, innovative play design – ready for climbing, sliding, and discovering!
Play + Sculpture = PlayForm 7
PlayForm 7 redefines what play equipment can be. It combines experience and form to transform any space. We call it “play sculpture” interactive art designed to be played on, and interacted with to provide different experiences than a traditional playground structure. It incorporates a unique play experience with the appeal of sculpture art that provides a strong visual impact and identity. This truly unique play sculpture provides multiple play experiences: tactile, sensory, motion. PlayForm 7 creates a play environment outside of conventional playgrounds. Inspired by the iconic play structures we all grew up with, but infused with the ability to provide more action, greater connectivity and increased relevance to how kids live and play in today’s world. The Unity Collection is designed so that the “always connected” feeling kids now expect meets the physical, outdoor world of play which offers more tangible opportunities to make real connections. Staying connected is a given for today’s kids. Just look at group texting. Our re-imagined dome allows more kids to be in, on & around the dome. All at the same time. All together. (Sounds complicated, we know, but it tends to work for them). Click the image to watch the Unity Dome in action!
Unity™ Slide Climber
The classic slide sticks to a simple rule: what goes up must come down. But what if what goes up wants to hang out and chat with friends? What if the going up part was as fun as the coming down? These are the thoughts that led us to re-imagining the slide. Let more kids play in more ways. All together. Some of them might even actually slide. Cool, huh? Unity Teeter Tunnel™
Why settle for 2 or 3 riders when you can have 10 to 15? When it comes to seesaws and teeter totters, more is better. Particularly when it’s 6 kids on each side, 3 in the middle and a couple on top, coaching both sides on where to stand and how to move. We’re not sure whether it’s more fun to play on or to watch. Hills: perhaps the oldest play structure known to mankind. And arguably the most fun. However you can’t find hills everywhere. So we’ve brought as much of the play value of the hill as we could to playgrounds that might not have room for the real thing. It’s hard to top the original, but we’re pretty proud with the result. Unity™ Large Canopy
Remember old school monkey bars? They were strictly a Point A to Point B journey. There’s no pre-established path on the Canopy. Kids are free to discover their own path — or to climb up to the lookout and be inspired by others making a journey before deciding on a course of their own. Inspired by keep-off-the-floor games, Steppers allow you to add some challenge to the current journey or simply rest and ponder the next one. And unlike rocks or wood stumps, steppers come in a variety of fun, vibrant colors. (Not that there’s anything wrong with natural colors, which they’re also available in). Unity RockR A whirl with angled sides and optional, outward-facing inclusive seats combines climbing and spinning action. Unlike a single rider experience, this spring rider can accommodate 6 riders at a time. It provides full body support and allows for a low transfer point which encourages children of all abilities to play together on the same piece of equipment. This re-imagined whirl with angled sides and optional inclusive seats lets children of all ages and abilities come together to spin, climb or just relax. Outward-facing seats at transfer height have an inward pitch that supports children with poor trunk control, with the option to add your own support belt. Kids learn to cooperate to make SpinR rotate, while challenging themselves to jump, surf, stand, lay or hang as the world swirls into a colorful blur.
